National Donut Day
A very tasty occasion is finally here and folks are more than ready to celebrate. Whether you spell it “donut” or “doughnut,” today is dedicated to the sweet treats Americans love to eat. Today is National Donut Day in the U.S.A., an annual food holiday observed on the first Friday in June. Launched by the Chicago Salvation Army in 1938, National Donut Day was created to help raise funds during the Great Depression and to raise awareness about various Salvation Army programs
