National Potato Day

August 19, 2016

Aug. 19 not only celebrates the history and future of aviation, but also celebrates one of America’s favorite vegetable. It’s National Potato Day.

Potatoes are inexpensive and versatile veggies that Americans love to eat! Loaded with vitamins and minerals, spuds or taters can be prepared in a variety of different ways. Whether you prefer yours in a cold salad or hot soup, baked, boiled, steamed, fried, nuked, scalloped, roasted, grilled, mashed, smashed, stuffed or sliced and diced, today is the perfect day to enjoy a delicious and nutritious potato.
