It's National Bike to Work Day: Ride On!

It’s time to dust off the old Schwinn and put a little air in those tires. It’s National Bike to Work Day. The annual holiday, created by the League of American Bicyclists, encourages folks from all over the country to ditch their gas-guzzling vehicles and hop on the old bicycle instead. Observed annually, the occasion takes place on the third Friday in May.

And National Bike to Work Day isn’t the only bike-related holiday this month. In fact, May is all about bicycling. Besides National Bike Month, there is also Ride to Work Day, Ride to School Day and Bike to Work Week! Who knew?

Besides being great exercise, bicycling also benefits the environment and your pocket book too. Avoid that annoying traffic during your daily commute and breathe some fresh air. Plus, cycling is also loads of fun and is great for the figure!

How to Celebrate National Bike to Work Day
