International Forgiveness Day

International Forgiveness Day is an annual event held the first Sunday in August. World Forgiveness Alliance began in 1996 and was created by Robert W. Plath. Various countries and cities around the world celebrate International Forgiveness Day.

Keeping anger, hostility and an unforgiving spirit locked deep inside, is not healthy physically or emotionally. Let go of all those past hurts. Forgiveness relieves stress, reduces conflict and just feels good. As the saying goes, “To err is human, to forgive divine.”

If there is someone in your life you haven’t spoken to for quite some time, why not pick up the phone and give them a call? Send them a free greeting card to break the ice or take them out for lunch.
