Big Brew for National Homebrew Day: Beer lovers celebrate with an ice-cold brew
Have you heard the latest buzz? If an ice-cold brew sounds pretty good to you right about now, go grab your biggest glass. It’s Big Brew for National Homebrew Day, an annual beverage holiday celebrated around the world. While the refreshing holiday is dedicated to beer, the annual occasion also celebrates friendship, companionship and the fine craft of brewing beer.
On May 7, 1988, National Homebrew Day was announced before the United States Congress. The American Homebrewers Association (AHA) created Big Brew, an annual worldwide event observed on the first Saturday in May, to celebrate National Homebrew Day.
Today is also Kentucky Derby Day, World Naked Gardening Day and Free Comic Book Day!
