National Vanilla Ice Cream Day
While the actual "inventor" of ice cream is unknown, ice cream goes way, way, way back. It’s believed Alexander the Great enjoyed a frozen treat made out of snow and ice mixed with honey and nectar. And Nero Claudius Caesar enjoyed snow flavored with fruit and juice. Marco Polo returned to Italy after a trip to the east with a recipe that resembled sherbet.
In honor of National Vanilla Ice Cream Day, why not enjoy some refreshing vanilla ice cream today?
